Rapunzel Tower

Description

Another Encounter 10×10 piece, complete in roughly 35 hours. The theme for the month was “Almost There,” so my idea was to make Rapunzel’s hair not quite long enough to reach the ground for her prince to rescue her. I also prefer the piece without the braid, so I made the braid removable. To make things a little simpler on myself for the lighting on this piece, I used 2 separate strands of fairy lights; a purple strand hidden in the flowers growing up the side of the tower, and a warm white light inside the top of the tower. This piece sold about 1/2 way through completion from a user who saw my work in progress videos and images on my Instagram story.
